I was reading this article about Tesla Model 3 sales in Germany and on the list of car makers, I see a company called Sonstige:

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Sonstige? What’s a Sonstige?

So I did some searching and found this:

https://gocar.be/en/car-new/Sonstige/all-models?manufacturer=1811

And this:

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Neither of which really cleared things up.

EDIT: Sonstige is German for ‘other’. So now I’m wondering what ‘other’ car makers made 35 BEVs and 1455 vehicles in total...

Ah yes, I know it well.

If you look at statistics for Sweden you’ll come across sales by a little known maker called Ovriga. They’re based near the well known town of Utfart, which can apparently be reached by every exit from any Swedish motorway. .

LOL... yes, I’ve heard all roads lead to Ausfahrt.

The town may be small, but it’s very popular!

All roads lead to Utfart.  And Utfart, formerly known as Rome, is a small town the Swedes hung onto when they conquered Italy in the Middle Ages.
